Laboratory Specimens
Specimens are sent to the hospital on Monday to Friday. If you are asked to bring a specimen on those days please ensure that we receive it before 12 noon so that it is in time for that day’s hospital collection.
Non-NHS
Examinations
The
doctors are happy to carry out medicals, eg insurance and driving licence, by
appointment outside surgery hours. Please contact reception for an appointment
and details of the charges for these services.
Patients
Over 75 Years
If
you are aged 75 years or over, you can on request be seen annually either by your
doctor, practice nurse, district nurse or health visitor. This can be arranged
at the surgery or, if that is not possible, a home visit will be arranged.
Staff
Protection
A zero tolerance policy towards violent, threatening and abusive behaviour is now in operation throughout the NHS.
The staff in this practice have the right to do their work in an environment free from violent, threatening and abusive behaviour and everything will be done to protect that right.
At no time will any such behaviour be accepted in this practice. If you do not respect the rights of our staff we may choose to inform the police and make arrangements for you to be removed from our medical list.

The nearest such facility is the Withington Walk-in Centre, Withington Community Hospital, telephone 217 3015.
We are fortunate in having this facility in having these facilities in close proximity to the practice. It is staffed by fully qualified health professionals.
The centre operates on a 'drop-in' basis with no appointment required, and offers a wide range of treatments and services including the following:
minor illnesses, flu-like illness, colds, sore throat, bruises, coughs, cuts, sprains, pregnancy tests, urine infections, dressings, wounds, bites, ear problems, sexual health advice, blood tests from GP.
